In 2012,a man named Mr. Segun [Baba Ayomide] came up with the story that my building is on his land, The landlords in the area called for a meeting and all my documents were presented which was confirmed that nothing of such happened. The Aro family who sold the land to him said that they gave him his full one plot and that didn’t have anything to do with my land. He later went to the town planning at Ikeja, who came to the land and left a letter of invitation for me which I honored the next day. After going through my document, they told him that he should go back to the family he bought the land from. That was the last day I heard or saw Mr. Segun[Baba Ayomide].
On Monday 18th July, 2016, I got a call from one of the landlords in my state,that some people[Government officials]came from town planning at P.W.D. with mopols carrying guns to seal up my house without notice, this scared all my family members including my children and they ran away from the house till I came back. They did not leave any letter but two phone numbers which I tried for several days before I got through to get their office address. I went with my documents and they went through it and found nothing wrong with my documents but only to go for my certificate of ownership [C.O.F.O.]before getting the building plans, since I have built. I also discovered that Mr. Segun[Baba Ayomide] has resold the land to one Mr. Irabor Augustin Isitokhae, who used the land as his address. The seal is still there, even though the police officer said I should ignore it. I have gone to the police station at Abaranje, they came to snap it also. The case was also reported to the Baale of Abaranje who has invited him, but he refused to show up. My life and that of my entire household have been threatened for over four years by Mr.Segun and now Mr. Irabor Isitokhae who is the present owner.Please ma, I want you to use your good office to assist me in putting an end to this misery over this land issue because I have built and lived on that land before they bought their own land.
